Just like your jewelry, shoes and bags, a wig is also an accessory. There is a wig to suit every occasion.
Believe it or not, there is no right or wrong answer to this question. It is all dependent on your lifestyle.
But here is the thing with having multiple wigs, you can alternate them and the benefit to this is that it can help you to extend the life span of your wigs, as you are not wearing the same wig everyday.
If you are a beginner, for a start, three wigs is a good way to begin your collection and then build it up as you get into the habit of wearing wigs.
Start with two simple natural black everyday wigs that you can alternate between. I usually recommend textures that are on the lower maintenance spectrum, like straight and body wave textures. Also, refrain from full frontal closure wigs, rather, opt for lace closure wigs (4*4/5*5).Â
Then an extra wig for when you want to be a little more dressy. Here you can go with any style and texture. These wigs would fall under the high maintenance spectrum. Opt for wigs such as the deep wave curls and water wave curls.Â
This is also where coloured wigs come in. Colours make you stand out more, from bright & bold colours, like red and blondes to more subtle colours like brown.Â
